What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve the dazzling smile you've always dreamed of. Using digital 3D computer-imaging technology called ClinCheck, Invisalign® depicts your complete treatment plan based on Dr. Azarko's prescription. ClinCheck simulates the movement of your teeth from their initial position to the final desired position. Then a series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth – and your teeth only – to move them little by little. Each aligner has the teeth "pre-set" into a slightly straighter position, exhibiting gentle pressure when first inserted. The aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks before being replaced by the next in the series, until the final position of your teeth is achieved. In most instances, the mild pressure sensation is only experienced for the first few minutes at the beginning of the 1-2 week period rather than throughout the 7-14 day aligner cycle. Your Invisalign® treatment time will be determined by Dr. Azarko, based on your specific needs.

Why Invisalign®?
Not only are the aligners barely visible, they are removable. This means you can eat and drink what you want during your treatment. Plus, dental care, such as brushing and flossing, is no problem. The Invisalign® aligners are also comfortable, with no harsh metal that can cause mouth abrasions during treatment. No metal and wires also means you will generally spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign® also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how straight your teeth will be when your treatment is complete.
How Does It Work?
After images are taken of your teeth and your treatment plan is developed you will receive your first set of aligners. You will wear each set of aligners for 1-2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will gently move until they have straightened to their final positions. You'll visit the office of your choice about once every 6-8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but these numbers will vary from case to case.
